An elegant 19th-century French cave à liqueur, dating to approximately the mid-1800s, with an ebonized wood exterior, delicate gilt linework, and a beautifully fitted interior.
The cabinet features a gently curved front, decorative brass hardware, and a hinged lid that opens to reveal a warm wood interior. Two side panels fold outward, allowing the removable wooden serving stand to be lifted from the cabinet.
The fitted stand accommodates four square glass decanters with faceted stoppers and a collection of delicate stemmed cordial glasses. A central turned finial completes the arrangement.
Both decorative and functional as a display piece, this antique liquor cabinet makes a distinguished addition to a library, study, or home bar.
Dimensions: 12⅞” W × 9½” D × 11” H.
Condition: Antique condition with age-related surface scratches, finish wear, and minor imperfections to the wood and decorative trim. Eight cordial glasses are missing from the original capacity of the stand. The cabinet includes a key, and the lock mechanism turns; however, the lid does not currently lock closed. The glassware and decanters are included as shown. The age and originality of the glass components have not been established.
