Antique Royal Bonn “Tokio” vase, produced in Bonn, Germany around the turn of the 20th century.
The rounded bottle-form vase is decorated in rich cobalt blue over a soft white ground, with dense floral and scrolling decoration surrounding a series of scenic reserves depicting mountainous landscapes, trees and botanical motifs. A warm ochre-colored line finishes the flared rim.
The underside bears the Royal Bonn crown factory mark, “Bonn Germany,” the Tokio pattern name, along with impressed factory marks.
A particularly charming smaller-scale example of Royal Bonn’s Japanese-inspired Tokio pattern and an excellent blue-and-white accent for a mantel, bookshelf, tabletop or collected ceramics display.
Measurements: Approximately 5.25” H × 4.5” at widest point.
Weight: Approximately 15 oz.
Condition: Good antique condition with age-appropriate wear. Fine overall crazing is present throughout the glaze, along with expected discoloration and wear to the foot rim and minor surface wear. No major chips, cracks, or repairs. Please review all photographs for additional condition details.
