A wonderfully unusual vintage Italian sterling silver picture frame by Paterna & Livi / Livi Giancarlo of Florence, featuring an elaborate Art Nouveau-inspired fairy surrounded by flowing floral and foliate decoration.
The sculptural sterling silver front is beautifully detailed, with the fairy incorporated directly into the opening of the frame. Finished with deep navy velvet backing, glass and an easel stand for tabletop display.
Hallmarked ★336 FI for the Florentine maker and 925 for sterling silver, with additional Italian filled-silver markings.
