Mid-century Georgian-style carved mahogany wall mirror, circa 1950s.
This substantial 48-inch mirror features an ornately carved mahogany frame centered by a dramatic shell-form crest, surrounded by scrolling foliate decoration and additional carved details throughout. A coordinating shell motif anchors the lower apron, while the shaped arched mirror plate gives the piece a distinctly architectural presence.
Richly toned wood and substantial proportions make this an especially handsome statement mirror for an entryway, bedroom, dressing area, library, or above a console.
The design corresponds closely to other documented mid-20th-century examples dating to the 1950s. Maker and country of origin are unknown.
Good vintage condition with light age-appropriate wear to the frame and finish. Mirror glass presents well. Please review photographs closely for condition and detail.
Overall dimensions: 48"H × 26"W.
