**Antique Dutch Delft Blue & White Pastoral Tiles with Fleur-de-lis Corners (Pair)**
Up for sale is a beautiful, true matching pair of authentic antique blue and white Delftware ceramic tiles. Both tiles showcase exquisite hand-painted cobalt blue pastoral figures enclosed in crisp circular medallions. The outer corners are anchored by classic, historic fleur-de-lis motifs, which traditionally allowed these tiles to form an interlocking decorative sequence when installed on a wall.
**Key Features:**
* **Subject:** Complementary traditional pastoral/countryside scenes featuring localized figures and landscape details.
* **Corner Motif:** Iconic Delft fleur-de-lis corner ornaments.
* **Functional Modern Upgrade:** The unglazed ceramic backs have been carefully fitted with a clean layer of black protective felt padding. This prevents the rough terracotta from scratching furniture, allowing you to use these rare historic artifacts instantly as premium table coasters, functional desk trivets, or fireplace mantel display pieces.
* **Quantity Included:** Two (2) matching tiles sold together as a set.
**Condition Statement:**
These tiles are in wonderful antique condition. The cobalt hand-painting remains sharp and vivid against the classic white tin-glaze. As genuine historic salvage pieces, they exhibit expected, minor edge nibbling, tiny glaze chips along the border rim, and light age wear that highlights their authentic heritage. There are no structural cracks or modern restorations.
*Please review all high-resolution photos carefully as they form part of the final description. Items will be wrapped individually and securely in heavy-duty bubble wrap to guarantee safe arrival.*
