Vintage Chinese Figural Crackle Glaze Table Lamp
A wonderfully characterful vintage table lamp featuring a crackle-glazed ceramic body decorated with colorful figural scenes and bamboo motifs.
The baluster-form ceramic body depicts traditionally dressed figures in shades of blue, red, yellow and soft pink surrounded by green bamboo and bold scrolling decoration. An intentionally crackled cream glaze provides an aged, textural ground throughout.
The ceramic vessel is mounted on a carved dark wood stand and fitted with aged brass-tone lamp hardware. The brown cord includes an inline switch, and the lamp has been tested and is currently working.
Condition:
Good vintage decorative condition with considerable age-related character. The ceramic displays overall crackling/crazing to the glaze. There are chips/losses and cracking to the dark upper rim beneath the wooden lamp fitting, clearly shown in the detail photographs. Additional surface wear, discoloration and imperfections are present throughout consistent with age and previous use.
Electrical components appear older. Although the lamp has been tested and is currently working, vintage electrical components should always be inspected as appropriate before continued use.
Lamp shade not included. Bulb not included.
Maker and exact date unknown.
