Vintage Ralph Lauren Patchwork large salad serving bowl, produced by Wedgwood in England.
This is the larger 9” Salad Serving Bowl from the discontinued Patchwork dinnerware collection, distinguished by its dark blue band beneath the rim.
A substantial and increasingly difficult-to-find serving piece from Ralph Lauren’s early tabletop collection.
The design recreates the appearance of an antique patchwork quilt through a layered assortment of plaids, florals, checks, stripes and geometric textile motifs in navy, dusty blue, cream, muted red, blush and warm neutral tones. Unlike the smaller Patchwork bowls, this serving piece has a largely cream-colored interior with the pattern concentrated around the exterior and rim.
The underside bears the original Ralph Lauren Patchwork mark with the Polo player emblem, Wedgwood name and Made in England designation.
