A charming vintage Colonial Homestead round serving platter by Royal China, dating to the 1950s.
Rendered in deep green transferware, the central scene depicts a wonderfully detailed Colonial-era domestic interior centered around a large open hearth. A spinning wheel, Windsor-style furniture, grandfather clock, table setting and period household objects fill the room, while the broad green border is decorated to resemble the grain and construction of early wooden planks.
At 12.5 inches in diameter, this larger serving piece works beautifully as both functional tableware and decorative display. The rich green coloration and nostalgic American interior make it especially well suited to traditional, country-house and collected interiors.
Measurements: approximately 12.5” diameter.
Condition: Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. Overall crazing is present throughout the glaze, most visibly across the cream-colored areas and reverse. There is light surface and utensil wear, minor discoloration and scattered marks consistent with age and previous use. No major chips, cracks or repairs.
