A generously proportioned vintage English serving platter in the Cambridge pattern by Wood & Sons.
Decorated in rich red transferware against a classic white ground, the platter features an elaborate central floral arrangement framed by an ornate border of flowering blossoms, scrolling foliage and intricate geometric detailing. The gently scalloped, fluted rim adds a lovely finishing touch.
Its impressive size and traditional English design make it equally suited to entertaining or decorative display on a dining room sideboard, kitchen dresser or plate stand.
Measurements: Approximately 18.75” long × 15” wide.
Condition: Good vintage condition with age-related wear, including visible glaze crazing on both the front and reverse. There is a noticeable hairline on the reverse, along with additional fine lines, light surface marks and scattered speckling. The decorative transfer remains well defined and vibrant.
